Pro wrestlers descend on Tacoma Dome for AEW’s pay-per-view extravaganza, WrestleDream
From metal bands to professional wrestling, the Tacoma Dome is having one rocking week.
On Saturday, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is coming to the Dome, 2727 E. D St., for the highly anticipated “WrestleDream” pay-per-view event.
In addition to the main program, AEW is airing a pre-show lineup called “Zero Hour.”
Former AEW world champion Swerve Strickland — whose hometown happens to be Tacoma — is reportedly expected to make his AEW return as well, according to Sportskeeda.
The Tacoma Dome brings loads of folks to T-Town year round, said Doug Adamson, spokesperson for the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Event-goers should give themselves plenty of time to get where they’re going, he told The News Tribune. That way traffic won’t cause them to miss out on any fun.
“If people give themselves a bit of extra time,” Adamson said, “they’ll be able to get in and enjoy the events that are happening at the Tacoma Dome, and help [them] resist the temptation to speed.”
