Vote: What store or restaurant would you most like to see in Tacoma or Pierce County?
Tacoma and environs are well represented when it comes to retail outlets and restaurants with regional and national names.
Some brands remain elusive in Pierce County, though.
Trader Joe’s, for example, has existed for decades with just one location, in University Place, despite multiple pitches from neighboring metros.
What about other brands not here at all? IKEA, Pottery Barn, Burgerville, In-N-Out, even Sprouts grocery have robust presences in areas north and south of the Tacoma, Gig Harbor and Puyallup metros.
What would you like to see added to the roster?
Below is a curated list (and, yes, we included Trader Joe’s because one is never enough). You’ll be presented with a grocery poll first. Vote there to move on to the home-goods poll. Vote there, and the restaurant poll will appear. Pick one in each category by Dec. 9.
We’ll report on the results and reach out to the top vote-getters to see what, if anything, they have to say about a possible expansion into Pierce County. If there’s a brand we haven’t listed that you think needs to be here, check “other” and add it.
