Here are the hours of operation for Tacoma grocery stores on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day
If you need to get any last-minute gift shopping or grocery shopping done before Christmas Day, then you’re in luck because many grocery stores in Tacoma will be open at least through Christmas Eve.
Here are the holiday hours for eight grocery stores in the area.
Tacoma grocery store holiday hours
Safeway
All Safeway locations in Tacoma will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but will operate on adjusted hours. Safeway will be open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Day.
Safeway’s pharmacy hours might be affected by the holiday, depending on each location.
Fred Meyer
Fred Meyer will be open on Christmas Eve, but will will close early. Fred Meyer will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day. Pharmacies will close at 5 p.m. Dec. 24.
There are three Fred Meyer locations in Tacoma.
WinCo Foods
Both WinCo Foods locations in Tacoma will be open on Christmas Eve but will have adjusted hours of operation.
WinCo Foods at 1913 S 72nd St. will open from 5 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. This location will reopen the day after Christmas at 7 a.m.
WinCo Foods at 6201 6th Ave. has adjusted its hours of operation to keep the store open for over 24 hours beginning Monday, Dec. 23. According to store hours on WinCo’s website, this location will be open from 5 a.m. on Monday through 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This location will be closed on Christmas Day, but will reopen at 7 a.m. the day after Christmas.
Metropolitan Market
The Metropolitan Market located in the Proctor District will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will close on Christmas Day. It will reopen for normal business hours the day after Christmas.
Tacoma Boys
Tacoma Boys will be operating on adjusted holiday hours for Christmas Eve and will close at 4 p.m. Tacoma Boys will be closed on Christmas Day.
Costco
Costco will be open on Christmas Eve from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on Christmas Day. It will reopen for normal business hours the day after Christmas.
Walmart Supercenter
Walmart Supercenter will be open on Christmas Eve from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be closed on Christmas Day. Walmart will return to its normal hours of operation the day after Christmas.
Target
Target will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. Target will reopen the day after Christmas at 8 a.m.
