A fire at a company that produces waterproofing products sent up a huge plume of smoke from the Port of Tacoma Saturday morning.

Tacoma Fire Department personnel were called to the scene just after 9:30 a.m. after a fire began burning inside a tank that held residual asphalt material, according to TFD spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd.
