- Description: The candidate for this position will have to use Geographic Information System (GIS) and computer-aided drafting (CAD) programs to draft construction drawings. This person will also have to sustain GIS data integrity and manage CAD files by using management software.
- Qualifications: High school diploma, two years of experience in sub-professional engineering-related work, completion of a recognized engineering technology vocational program or at least one year of college-level engineering course work.

- Description: A law enforcement officer is responsible for preventing crime, enforcing laws and ordinances and apprehending criminals. This job requires a person to be able to act without direct supervision.
- Qualifications: To qualify as a candidate you must either currently be employed as a law enforcement officer or must have been employed as one the last 24 months, and must have at least 12 months of street patrol experience after having completed police academy training.
Police Officer Recruit (entry-level)

- Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident with a high school diploma or GED, and must be 21 years old by the date of appointment. Police Officer (exceptional hire)

This person will be tasked with special assignments based on their knowledge and must be able to treat the public with respect while performing their duties in an efficient manner with little direct supervision.
Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident with a high school diploma or GED and must reside in Washington state. Must also have completed the law enforcement academy training at the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and have less than two years of experience as fully commissioned law enforcement officer with no more than a two year break in service.
Cybersecurity Operations Manager

- Description: The cybersecurity operations manager will be tasked with leading and developing policies and programs for risk management in an operational technology environment. This person will also participate in creating a budget for a cybersecurity program and will provide ample training for cybersecurity personnel.

Summer internship opportunities at the City of Tacoma
The City of Tacoma is offering electrical, civil, mechanical and computer science engineering internship opportunities this summer. All engineering interns will work 40 hours a week and will have an hourly wage that ranges from $31.95 to $38.84. The internship application is due Jan. 13 at 5 p.m.
