Amtrak passengers faced delays Saturday in the Seattle-Tacoma area, after one of its passenger trains crashed into a truck stuck on the tracks.

In a social media post, the Auburn Police Department reported that around 10:18 a.m., a semi tractor trailer rig made a wrong turn and became stuck on the train tracks at 29th and B streets Northwest.

A southbound Amtrak train struck the stuck semi. Police said that the driver and occupant of the semi managed to get out of the truck safely.

The Amtrak train, carrying 157 passengers, reported no injuries, according to the report.

The accident shut down the southbound lane of B Street NW.

Amtrak reported delays for its train operations between Seattle and Tacoma, Auburn police noted.
