A Graham Fire & Rescue transport unit and a car crashed into each other about 2:50 p.m. Wednesday in Graham, sending two firefighters and the car’s driver to the hospital, the agency posted on X.

The collision occurred in the 12600 block of 224th Street East, according to the post, where the street intersects with 126th Avenue East. Graham and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue both responded to the incident, the post said.

Graham Fire & Rescue spokesperson Michael Auvil, who also represents Central Pierce Fire & Rescue and Orting Valley Fire & Rescue, told The News Tribune via phone at about 5:10 p.m. Wednesday that transport units carry two people: a driver and a medic. He said he believes the driver and medic of the transport unit were transported to a local hospital, but that it seemed precautionary and not because of serious injuries.

He did not have further information beyond what was in the X post, and the cause of the crash is unknown at this time, he said.
