Sinkhole, emergency repairs force Puyallup to close residential road for two weeks

A stretch of 18th Street Southwest in Puyallup is closed for two weeks due to a sinkhole that requires emergency repairs, the city of Puyallup posted on X Thursday evening.

The city’s Public Works department will close the street, which runs through a residential neighborhood, from West Pioneer Avenue to 5th Avenue Southwest while crews “assess underground utilities and complete the repairs,” according to the post.
