Homicide investigation underway after man found shot Saturday night, Tacoma police say

Tacoma police are investigating a man’s death Saturday night as a homicide, the department announced.

About 9 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1100 block of South L Street after multiple 911 callers reported shots fired in the area.

Police arrived to find an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers, followed by Tacoma Fire Department crews, attempted to revive the man but he ultimately died at the scene.

No arrests have been made, but detectives and crime scene technicians continue to investigate the incident, according to police.
