A road in Gig Harbor was shut down for hours after a driver crashed their vehicle into a power pole and transformer Feb. 26.

Pioneer Way was closed between Kimball Drive and Grandview Street as crews worked to repair the power pole and transformer, according to the Gig Harbor Police Department on Facebook at 8:49 a.m. that day

The driver did not have serious injuries, the post said.

The post said the road would be closed for about eight to ten hours. Drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
