A Federal Way woman died at an area hospital after her car rolled multiple times on northbound Interstate 5 early Sunday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 12:15 a.m., Siham I. Hassan was driving north in the area of I-5 and 272nd. A 47-year-old Gig Harbor driver was headed in the same direction.

Troopers say Hassan struck the left side of the Gig Harbor man’s vehicle, which caused her to roll multiple times before her car landed on its wheels.

She was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she would later die, according to State Patrol.

The Gig Harbor man also was injured, although it was not clear if he was taken to a hospital or treated at the scene.

Following the wreck, traffic was slowed in the area for more than three hours, according to State Patrol.
