Crash between sedan, Tribal school bus in Pierce County leaves 1 badly injured

A crash between a sedan and Chief Leschi Schools bus in Pierce County left one person in critical condition Tuesday morning.

Fire crews were dispatched at 7:55 a.m. to the 4200 block of Waller Road East for the crash, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue on X.

The sedan’s driver was extricated and taken to a local hospital for treatment, the post said. None of the students on the bus or the driver was injured.

Puyallup Tribal Police and the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause of the crash.
