Motorcyclist dies in collision with driver in Tacoma, officials say

A motorcyclist died in a collision with a car Sunday evening in Tacoma, according to the Fire Department.

The wreck was reported shortly after 6 p.m. at the intersection of South 56th Street and Cheyenne Loop Road South in South Tacoma, Fire Department spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd said.

The cause of the collision is unclear. The person killed has not yet been publicly identified by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Shepherd said she did not have additional information. A Police Department spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Monday morning.
