4 injured in multi-vehicle crash on Pierce County roadway. Investigation ongoing

A crash involving four vehicles Monday night left four people injured in the Spanaway area.

Fire crews were dispatched to the 21500 block of 22nd Avenue East at about 8 p.m. Four vehicles were blocking both lanes of the road, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews on X.

A person in one vehicle needed to be extricated, the post said.

Two people suffered minor injuries, the post said. Two people had serious injuries.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the cause of the crash.
