A 37-year-old Tacoma man died at the scene of a rollover wreck in southeast Pierce County on Saturday, according to the Washington State Patrol.

About 7:20 p.m., the man, who has yet to be identified, was headed south on state Route 161, also known as Meridian Avenue East, near Barny Larson Road.

That area is south of Kapowsin Highway East.

Troopers say the vehicle drove off the road to the right and rolled onto its side. The road was closed for more than two hours following the crash.

The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
