Original post: An 87-year-old man with dementia has been reported missing from the Parkland area, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office posted on X Tuesday evening.

Alfred Tash, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 pounds, was last seen leaving his home on foot near a mobile home park around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies wrote in the alert.

He left from the 13700 block of 2nd Avenue East, Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Carly Cappetto wrote in a text message. That block is near Clover Creek Trailer Court at 13906 1st Avenue East.

“His caretakers say he is unable to care for himself and walked away from his home this afternoon,” the post said. “ ... Call 911 if seen.”
