Tacoma mayoral forum: Hear from the candidates and ask your questions

Join us in person for a mayoral candidate forum on Monday, Oct. 13. Moderated by News Tribune opinion editor Laura Hautala, the forum will be an opportunity to hear directly from candidates as they answer questions about their visions for Tacoma. Seating will be limited. Please register to save your spot at the event.

The Candidates

John Hines is currently the city council member representing Tacoma’s District 1, and he has also served as deputy mayor. A small business owner, he’s been in office since 2020.

Anders Ibsen has also represented District 1, serving from 2012 to 2019. His background is in real estate, and he’s also currently a commissioner on the Washington State Gambling Commission.
