‘No Kings’ protests scheduled in Tacoma, Pierce County on Oct. 18

A “No Kings” protest is returning to Pierce County on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Thousands in Pierce County rallied in No Kings protests in June to protest President Donald Trump following his immigration crackdown and a contentious military parade. On Oct. 18, Tacoma, Lakewood and Gig Harbor will be among the thousands of cities holding No Kings protests across the country, according to a news release from No Kings.

“Building on the momentum of the June 14 day of action, which drew more than five million people across all 50 states, the October 18 mobilization is the next chapter in this growing movement,” the release states. “Together, millions will send a clear and unmistakable message: we are a nation of equals, and our country will not be ruled by fear or force.”

Here’s a full list of all the protests and where they will take place:

  • Point Defiance: noon to 2 p.m. at The Defiant Goldfish, 5310 N. Pearl St.
  • Eastside Tacoma: 1-3 p.m. at Stewart Heights Park, 5715 Reginald Gutierrez Lane.
  • Puyallup: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The address is private, interested attendees can learn more by signing up.
  • Lakewood: noon to 2 p.m. at Gravelly Lake Drive outside the Lakewood Towne Center.
  • Gig Harbor: noon to 2 p.m. at The Four Corners, Point Fosdick Drive & Olympic Drive.
