Tens of thousands of Pierce County customers are without power Saturday evening due to windy weather conditions.

About 3,000 Tacoma Public Utilities customers are impacted by 87 outages, including around 1,700 in south Elk Plain and about 400 in east South Creek, according to the site’s outage map. These also include over 600 without power near Delin Street and South Division Lane

Puget Sound Energy reported 175 active outages impacting over 20,000 customers. About 4,000 of these are east of Olympia near Union Mill and Kellys Korner, as well as around 1,300 west of Olympia near Summit Lake, as seen on the provider’s outage map. Graham and Clear Lake are also experiencing significant outages impacting around 2,000 customers.

These windy conditions will persist throughout the night in Western Washington, according to National Weather Service Seattle post on X. They expect more power outages and tree damage to occur tonight as conditions continue.
