Spanaway Park’s “Fantasy Lights,” the Northwest’s largest drive-thru holiday lights display, will close this week for technical and weather-related issues.

Recent electrical upgrades along with ongoing rain has affected the operation of the displays, according to Spanaway Park on Facebook. “Fantasy Lights” is closed from Dec. 8 through Dec. 12.

The drive-thru displays features a 2.2-mile route of more than 300 animated displays, digital animations and thousands of sparkling lights, according to the Pierce County website.

Anyone who purchased tickets for the cancelled nights will receive a full refund, the post said.

“We know this is incredibly disappointing for families who look forward to this tradition each year, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” according to the post.

The park will continue to monitor the weather and condition of the displays. Updates on reopening plans will be shared as soon as possible.
