Traffic alert: Semi truck crash on northbound I-5 blocks three lanes

Update: The crash is cleared and all lanes are open, WSDOT posted on X.

A multi-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck is blocking the three left lanes of northbound Interstate 5 at Portland Avenue Friday afternoon, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

WSDOT first reported the crash on X at 3:04 p.m.

The semi-truck was determined to be the causing vehicle, Trooper Kameron Watts posted on X. There are no known injuries at this time. Other details of the crash have not been disclosed yet.

Northbound traffic is backed up on I-5 to the State Route 16 interchange. Drivers can bypass the scene by taking the exit to Portland Avenue.
