Four-car injury wreck snarls traffic Thursday evening, Puyallup police say

A four-vehicle wreck at one of Puyallup’s busiest intersections has partially blocked traffic, according to a statement police posted on social media Thursday evening.

The site of the collision: South Meridian and 35th Ave Southeast, which marks one of the main entry points to South Hill Mall.

Police sent a collision response team to investigate.

“We expect traffic impacts for the next several hours while we investigate,” the police statement said.

As of the department’s statement at 7:22 p.m., one northbound lane of South Meridian was closed.

Police urged residents to “slow down or avoid the area” while officers handle the incident.
