‘Iconic’ home with dock, waterfront views for sale in Western Washington. See it
A historic property with a five-bedroom home, deep-water dock and multiple boathouses is for sale in Western Washington — for the first time ever.
The Keyport estate is on the market for $1.1 million, according to a listing by real estate broker Jana Wilkins of Coldwell Banker Bain in Bainbridge Island.
“Extremely rare and undeniably unique, this iconic waterfront property ... offers an unparalleled chance to own in one of the most sought-after marine locations in the Pacific Northwest,” Wilkins told The News Tribune via email. “In addition to its prime location in Keyport Village commercial zone and next to the Port of Keyport public marina, this property blends historic character with immense development potential.”
She called the Kitsap County home “truly one of a kind.”
Here’s what you need to know:
Keyport home for sale has 5 bedrooms, 3 baths
The property at 1954 Grandview Blvd. in Keyport has stayed with the same family for about 60 years, Wilkins said.
Built in 1916, the 2,864-square-foot home has undergone a series of remodels and additions over the decades, including an electrical and plumbing update in 1998, according to the real estate broker.
The home has five bedrooms, two full bathrooms and a half bath, Wilkins said.
Wilkins described the home as having “Scandinavian flair” with large windows and beamed ceilings.
Deck, pier and boathouses at former repair facility
According to Wilkins and Coldwell Banker, the 17,424-square-foot property previously served as the Keyport Undersea Charter and Salvage Company, a “boat and vessel repair facility for both recreational and commercial vessels on the inlet connecting Liberty Bay to Nesika Bay and the Puget Sound.”
In addition to an “industrial-grade” pier and dock partially built with materials salvaged from Seattle ferry docks, there are several outbuildings including a storage shed at the top of the driveway.
One boathouse features an office, wood shop and power room, while another has two wet rooms and a bathroom.
There’s also a rail system capable of pulling out boats up to 50 feet long for service.
Kitsap County property features water, mountain views
Wilkins said the Keyport estate combines “endless potential” and an “unmatched location,” making it perfect for boating enthusiasts, entrepreneurs and “visionary investors.”
According to Wilkins, the house is 15 minutes away from Silverdale and Poulsbo by car.
“Keyport Village has a small-town ambience with fabulous saltwater and mountain views,” Wilkins said. “The community has not lost that old-time neighborliness; there is an active community club, everyone knows one another, and it’s a place where people feel safe to walk in the evenings and let their kids play in the parks.”
The house falls in the North Kitsap School District. This includes Hilder Pearson Elementary School, Poulsbo Middle School and North Kitsap High School.
Keyport is a 54-minute drive from Tacoma.
