Take the T Line train? For a few days in January, you’ll be taking the bus
Buses will replace T Line trains across the entire route from 6:12 p.m. Jan. 20 until the end of service on Jan. 23 for rail replacement work, Sound Transit announced in a news release.
Six fare-free coaches will replace the T Line trains and serve all the Tacoma stops on the normal schedule. Extra security and staff will be at the stations to help riders navigate the change.
Repair work replacing two broken rails at South 21st Street and Pacific Avenue starts each night after 7 p.m. and lasts until 5 a.m. the following morning, according to the release. The intersection will be open for traffic during the day.
Jan. 24 is being held as a contingency day if the planned work runs past schedule, the release read.
