Puyallup-area woman missing for over a week. Sheriff’s Office asks for help
Police are asking the public for help finding a Puyallup-area woman who has been missing for over a week.
The woman – 60-year-old Ginger Meier – was last seen at her home on Jan. 11. Carly Cappetto, spokesperson for the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office, told The News Tribune they believe she is in danger.
Cappetto said her family shared information with investigators that suggests she was in danger. Cappetto declined to share specifics.
A family member called police, and officers later found Meier’s car in the area of Bradley Lake Park, which is located at 531 31st Ave. Southeast.
“She has not been located and we have had people out there and volunteers looking around for her but at this point, we don’t have any other leads or tips,” Cappetto said.
Cappetto also said residents can help by checking their surveillance or ring cameras for a woman who looks like Meier.
In a Facebook post, the Sheriff’s Office said Meier is a white woman who is about 5 feet, 3 inches and 140 pounds.
“Call us immediately [if you have any information], since we do believe she’s not safe and we want to check on her and make sure she is,” Cappetto said.
Residents can report information to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 253-287-4455.
