Crash between vehicle and pedestrian blocking roadway in Puyallup

A roadway in Puyallup is blocked from a crash after a vehicle struck a pedestrian Friday morning.

The crash occurred at East Pioneer and 3rd Street Southeast around 7:25 a.m., according to PulsePoint.

A driver struck a woman in the intersection when he was turning his vehicle, Puyallup Police Department spokesperson Captain Kevin Gill told The News Tribune.

The woman was taken to a hospital for her serious injuries, he said.

The investigation is ongoing for the cause of the crash.

The intersection has been cleared and lanes have reopened.
