A fire at an industrial facility on the Tacoma Tideflats required a full hazmat response from firefighters Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched at 10:19 a.m. to the 1900 block of Marine View Drive for a fire at an industrial facility. The hazmat response was sent out of caution, according to the Tacoma Fire Department on X.

Employees from the business extinguished the fire before firefighters arrived, the post said. The fire is out, and no injuries were reported.

The post said a welding torch might have sparked a small fuel fire.

The department is keeping on engine at the scene to make sure the fire does not spark back up.
