Guide to Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl parade: Route, road closures, parking & more

The Seattle Seahawks have clinched their second Super Bowl title. Now it’s time to celebrate.

The Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 on Sunday, Feb. 8, at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

“This year’s Seahawks team brought all of Seattle together with the strongest, loudest and most united spirit I’ve ever seen,” said Seattle Mayor Katie B. Wilson said in a Monday, Feb. 9, news release. “They delivered in historic fashion, beating the Patriots and bringing a second Lombardi Trophy home to Seattle.”

Up to a million fans are expected to line the streets of downtown Seattle on Wednesday, Feb. 11, as they watch the Seahawks World Champions Parade.

Seahawks supporters will also gather Wednesday for a Trophy Celebration at Lumen Field.

“I encourage everyone to come out and join the celebration — responsibly, together and with pride,” Wilson said.

When is Seattle Seahawks celebration at Lumen Field?

The Seahawks World Champions Parade will begin with a Trophy Celebration at Lumen Field, 800 Occidental Ave. S in Seattle, at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The event is free and open to the public, organizers said, although tickets are required.

As of Monday, all tickets were no longer available.

When does Seahawks World Champions parade start?

The Seahawks World Champions Parade will begin at 11 a.m Wednesday at the corner of south Fourth Avenue and Washington Street in Seattle.

What is the route for victory parade in downtown Seattle?

According to organizers, the Seahawks victory parade will travel northbound on Fourth Avenue and end at the corner of Fourth Avenue and Cedar Street.

“The route of just over two miles through downtown Seattle is expected to take two hours,” the release said. “No further activities or festivities are planned at the Seattle Center following the parade.”

“Fans can pick up exclusive Seahawks World Champions rally cards at select Starbucks locations along the parade route downtown,” the release said.. “Those with tickets to the Lumen Field Trophy Celebration will also receive one at gates upon entry.”

T-Mobile members can bring their Magenta Passes to the T-Mobile store on Sixth Avenue in Seattle to pick up exclusive World Champions gear, according to the Seattle Seahawks website.

You can stop by Tuesday for a World Champions T-shirt or Wednesday for additional gear, including a World Champions koozie.

What roads will be closed for the parade on Wednesday?

“There will be significant delays traveling through downtown Seattle” on Wednesday due to the Seattle Seahawks World Champions Parade, organizers said.

Streets that intersect with Fourth Avenue will be closed between Lumen Field and the Seattle Center between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., the release said, “with congestion along surrounding side streets.”

Interstate 5 and Interstate 90 on-ramps and off ramps will close briefly “at the start of the parade but will open shortly after,” organizers said.

Can I take the bus to Seahawks victory parade? Light rail?

“Parade and rally attendees are encouraged to take public transportation to and from the events,” organizers said, noting that Link light rail will “operate as normal.”

Sound Transit and King County Metro buses use alternative routes during the parade, according to the release.

King County’s online Trip Planner can help you determine the best route to downtown via buses or the Sound Transit 1 Line, according to the release.

Where can I park?

“Parking along the parade route will be extremely limited,” the Seattle Seahawks website said.

Although the Lumen Field Parking Garage and North Lot will be closed on Wednesday, you can find paid event‑day parking at select lots surrounding the stadium.

You can also park your vehicle outside of the downtown core and ride public transportation.

NBC affiliate KING-TV will cover the Lumen Field Trophy Celebration and Seattle Seahawks World Champions Parade live starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
