One person was taken to a hospital Tuesday afternoon in Tacoma following a crash involving three cars.

Firefighters were dispatched at 3:07 p.m. to East 72nd Street and McKinley Avenue. One of the vehicles reportedly struck a pole, which is still standing, Tacoma Fire Department spokesperson Chelsea Shepherd told The News Tribune.

Information on the severity of the person’s injuries was not available.

A second person was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, Shepherd confirmed at 4:21 p.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Tacoma Police Department.
