Broken rail forces suspension of T Line service in Tacoma. Here’s where and when

Buses will replace T line trains between the Tacoma Dome and St. Joseph Station April 6-9, according to Sound Transit.

The suspension is needed so crews can replace a broken rail at South 21st Street and Pacific Avenue, according to a news release. The suspension begins at 6 p.m. April 6 and will last until the end of service on April 9. Construction will take place between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

“During the work, passersby may see and hear concrete cutting and other activities related to the project,” the release states.

Sound Transit spokesperson David Jackson said the repairs will cost $301,173.
