Firefighters were dispatched at 5:35 a.m. to the 3200 block of 53rd Place Northeast. Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames in the home, according to the Tacoma Fire Department on X.

The post said everyone inside the house escaped the fire. Firefighters extinguished the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
