A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on State Route 7 in Parkland Saturday morning, according to a Washington State Patrol press memo.

At around 3:51 a.m., a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder was driving northbound on SR-7 near 104th Street South in lane two of two, the memo said. A pedestrian was walking in the same lane.

The SUV struck the pedestrian and came to rest in both lanes.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver is uninjured.

The road was blocked for three hours and 18 minutes, the memo said.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
