The Washington State Department of Transportation is conducting lane closures on southbound State Route 167 starting Saturday night, it announced in a press release.

Contractor crews are striping new lanes of southbound SR 167 to shift traffic to the right for future construction of the new SR 167 Expressway, the release said.

Crews will also close one lane of southbound SR 167 May 18 to 22 to install a temporary work zone barrier.

SR 167 weekend lane closure information

  • 8 p.m. Saturday, May 16 to 5 a.m. Monday, May 18 – One lane of southbound SR 167 will close from SR 410 to North Meridian Avenue. One lane remains open.

SR 167 weeknight lane closure information

  • 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, May 18 to the morning of Friday, May 22 - One lane of southbound SR 167 will close nightly from SR 410 to North Meridian Avenue. One lane remains open.

Additional ramp closure information

Crews will also close ramp lanes on State Route 410 and State Route 512 starting Saturday night to repave the roads.

  • 9 p.m. Saturday, May 16 to 8 a.m. Sunday, May 17 – One lane of the westbound SR 410 ramp to southbound SR 167 will close. One lane will remain open.
  • 11 p.m. Saturday, May 16 to 8 a.m. Sunday, May 17 – The southbound SR 167 ramp to westbound SR 512 will close. Drivers will follow a signed detour.

The construction is weather dependent and may be postponed due to rain.
