One lucky lottery player struck it rich after buying a winning Mega Millions ticket at a Tacoma-area grocery store, according to lottery officials.
The player matched four white balls and the blue Mega Ball to win $10,000 in the Tuesday, June 9 drawing, according to Washington’s Lottery.
The Mega Millions player used a multiplier to increase their winnings tenfold, bringing the total prize to $100,000, lottery officials said.

Where was lucky Mega Millions ticket sold?
The winning Mega Millions ticket was purchased at Fred Meyer, 6901 South 19th St. in Tacoma, according to a Washington’s Lottery spokesperson.
It takes about 35 minutes to drive from Olympia to Tacoma.
Tacoma is a roughly two-hour drive from Bellingham.
What were winning Mega Millions numbers?
The winning numbers in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing were 9, 30, 36, 38 and 40 with a Mega Ball of 3, according to the Washington’s Lottery website.
