Police ask for help in search for 67-year-old missing Pierce County woman

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a 67-year-old missing Orting woman.

According to a Silver Alert from the Washington State Patrol, the woman, Theresa Stephenson, was last seen on Sunday, June 14 around 1:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of Kapowsin Highway East in Orting.

She was on foot, the release said, with an “unknown direction of travel.”

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans, a white-and-blue striped sleeveless shirt, a tan sunhat and a small backpack, the release said.

Stephenson has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is about 5 feet, 2 inches tall, the release said. She weighs about 240 pounds.

“This disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety as determined by [the Orting Police Department],” the release said.

A Silver Alert is an alert for any missing person who is 60 years old or older.

Anyone who sees Stephenson should call 911, the release said.
