Pedestrian hit and killed by semi-truck early Sunday, Puyallup police say

A 25-year-old man died early Sunday after he was hit by the driver of a semi-truck, according to Puyallup police.

The truck hit the man in the 1600 block of North Levee Road about 3:10 a.m., police say. North Levee Road is just north and parallels the Puyallup River.

The pedestrian died at the scene.

“The driver of the semi-truck was cooperative, questioned, and released at the scene,” said police in a news release.

Two key groups responded to investigate: the Metro Major Collision Response Team and Washington State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
