Tacoma man dead after two-vehicle crash

A 62-year-old man is dead after a crash in Tacoma.

Shelbie Boyd, spokesperson with the Tacoma Police Department, told The News Tribune in a message on Tuesday that the crash happened at about 5:28 p.m. at 2600 Pacific Ave on June 19.

The driver struck a second vehicle and a pole, Boyd said. He died, while the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

According to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s public portal, the man was Michael Highco of Tacoma.
