Family displaced after house fire in Tacoma

A family has been displaced after a fire in Tacoma Thursday morning.

According to an X post from Tacoma Fire, the fire happened in the 400 block of E 78th St at 5:48 a.m.

“TFD responded to a possible bathroom fire that was spreading. Crews arrived, saw heavy smoke coming from [the] home,” the post said.

The fire had spread to the attic, the post said, and crews managed to get it under control within six minutes.

There are no injuries, the post said, but the family was displaced.

Chelsea Shepherd, spokesperson for Tacoma Fire, told The News Tribune the cause is under investigation.
