Smoke over JBLM today? Here’s what’s happening and when it should clear

A prescribed burn is happening at Joint Base Lewis-McChord on Monday.

According to a Facebook post from JBLM, the burn is happening from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Training Area 06, which is two miles north of Roy at the intersection of 33rd Division Road and Story Road along East Gate Road, about two and a half miles west of State Route 507.

To report “ground-level nuisance smoke,” residents can call 253-912-2049, according to the post.
