Firefighters respond to mobile house fire, no injuries reported, CPFR says

A fire broke out in a mobile home near Frederickson on Sunday evening.

According to a Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Facebook post, first responders arrived at the 16200 block of 62nd Avenue Court East just after 11:20 p.m. They found the home “heavily involved in fire,” with the flames threatening nearby homes.

Brianna Stenstrom, spokesperson for the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Department, said the home is a total loss with one of the neighboring homes sustaining heat damage. Stenstorm said there were people in the house but that they were able to get out of the home before responders arrived.

Stenstrom said firefighters brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes and that there were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by The Pierce County Fire Prevention Bureau.
