Bright colored clothing and fun matching socks are encouraged at a memorial Wednesday (Sept. 9) for Jamie Fay, who was killed during last weekend’s windstorm.

That was often the style for Fay, assistant manager at Chambers Bay, according a release about the service.

Fay, 36, died after a tree fell onto the station wagon he was driving home from a grocery store in Gig Harbor.

His memorial will be at 1 p.m. at the Kilworth Memorial Chapel, 1500 N. 18th St. at the University of Puget Sound. A reception will follow at the Chambers Bay Pavilion, 6320 Grandview Drive W., in University Place.

Fay was the director of sales and marketing and assistant general manager at Chambers Bay. He had worked at the golf course since 2008.
