I-705 on-ramp from Stadium Way closing Thursday morning

For two hours Thursday, workers from the city of Tacoma’s street operations division will close the I-705 on-ramp at Stadium Way to remove a hazardous tree from Fireman’s Park that fell during the recent windstorm.

The work is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to noon, with detour routes in place.

A city news release said that at the time of the storm crews removed any immediate hazards and now will remove the remaining portions of the tree.
