Edgewood seeks to fill City Council vacancy
The Edgewood City Council is looking to fill a vacancy left by Daryl Eidinger, who was recently elected as the city's first strong mayor.
Eidinger vacated his Position 4 seat in August after narrowly defeating Wendal Kuecker for the mayor’s post.
The council must now appoint someone to fulfill Eidinger’s unexpired council term, which ends Dec. 31, 2017.
Applicants must be registered Edgewood voters and must have been city residents for at least one year prior to submitting the application. Applications must be submitted to the city clerk by Oct. 6 at 5 p.m.
The Edgewood City Council meets the second and fourth Tuesday of every month, with additional meetings scheduled as needed. Monthly compensation for the job is $250.
