Wreck south of Graham injures 4, blocks SR 161 for hours

A head-on crash injured four people Saturday and blocked State Route 161 for several hours south of Graham.

The wreck happened about 11:30 p.m. near SR 161 and Thomas Road East, when a 1992 Mitsubishi crossed into the oncoming lane in a curve and crashed with a 2013 Nissan, the State Patrol said.

Troopers said speed caused the wreck and that no drugs or alcohol were involved.

The 20-year-old Randle man driving the Mitsubishi was taken to Tacoma General Hospital.

Crews took the 26-year-old California man driving the Nissan and his two passengers to Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup.

The passengers were a 21-year-old Eatonville man and a 20-year-old man from Puyallup.

The road was blocked for almost four hours, troopers said.
