Auburn warehouse destroyed in 2-alarm fire

A two-alarm fire destroyed an Auburn warehouse Tuesday night.

Firefighters arrived at 2809 Academy Drive Southeast about 9:30 p.m. and found the fire widespread throughout the warehouse, according to Valley Regional Fire Authority.

The business at the warehouse does welding and blacksmith work.

Crews found that the owner and his dog had safely fled the fire before the owner called 911. No one else was inside.

Smoke could be seen from several miles away.
