Leaking peroxide in Kent sends 2 to hospital
Two people were sent to the hospital late Thursday after being exposed to 119 gallons of leaking peroxide in the back of a semitrailer in Kent, according to the Fire Department.
A hazardous materials crew was called about 10:15 p.m. to the 21800 block of 76th Avenue South after the leak was discovered.
Five workers inhaled the fumes. Three were able to recover after breathing in fresh air.
The hazmat team isolated the leak and turned over cleanup duties to a private company.
It was unknown what caused the leak.
