No one seriously hurt after car crashes into Tacoma home day care
The driver of a car that crashed into a home day care in Tacoma on Tuesday might have lost control in part because of stormy weather, police said.
Crews took five people to the hospital, including “four little ones transported as a precaution,” police spokeswoman Shelbie Boyd said. The fifth person — the passenger in the car — suffered minor injuries.
The car crashed into the house in the 500 block of East 72nd Street shortly before 2 p.m. Investigators believe the driver might have been speeding.
“Definitely too fast for the current conditions,” Boyd said. “They think the inclement weather may have played a part.”
The driver was not hurt.
