Firefighters douse blaze at Sumner Laundromat
East Pierce Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at business in downtown Sumner late Sunday.
The call came in just before 8 p.m. when two employees reported seeing flames and smoke near a dryer inside Sumner Laundromat.
The building is located at 1020 Wood Ave. near Sumner High School. East Pierce officials say the cause and amount of damage to the one-story, concrete block building is under investigation.
The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries.
