2 injured in Puyallup motorcycle wreck

A motorcycle wreck Saturday in Puyallup sent two people to a hospital.

The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. when the 2006 Harley Davidson was traveling westbound in the left-hand shoulder of state Route 512, next to a 2011 Audi, troopers said.

According to the State Patrol, the Audi S4 hit the motorcycle, which left the road and hit the cable barrier.

Crews took the 58-year-old Olympia man who was driving the bike and the 48-year-old Tacoma woman who was a passenger to Tacoma General Hospital. Both had been wearing helmets.

He was reportedly in stable condition Sunday afternoon, and she had been taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she was also stable.

The driver of the Audi, a 50-year-old Spanaway man, was not injured.

Troopers are still investigating what caused the wreck.
