Sumner man taken to Harborview after wreck near Orting
A 51-year-old Sumner man is at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after he was injured in a wreck Friday night, according to the State Patrol.
Troopers said the man was driving a 1995 Subaru Legacy west on state Route 162 near Orting about 7:45 p.m. Friday, when he crashed with a 38-year-old Orting woman driving a 2011 Dodge Nitro east on the road.
The cars crashed in the westbound lanes near 144th Street East, the State Patrol said.
They’re still investigated what caused the wreck.
The woman was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for her injuries, and the man was taken to Seattle.
Information about his condition was not immediately available Sunday, because he was in an operating room, according to Harborview.
